Around Loch Lomond's shore's there are many places of interest including, architectural, historical and nautical subjects. There are legends, myth's and mysteries, we hope to include as many of these as possible.
We are going to start from the most Southern point of the loch at Balloch on the shore's of the River Leven, traveling round the loch Westward taking in the some of the villages to the furthermost northern part of the loch at Ardlui, traveling then on the east shore back to Balloch following part of the route of the West Highland Way.
Due to the vastness of the area we will be concentrating mainly on areas that are on the shoreline, sometimes venturing inland if we feel it is beneficial to our readers.
On the Islands page we will be starting from Island I Vow in the North working Southward toward Inchmurrin and including all the islands on the loch.
There will be information on the Scottish Clans associated with the Loch Lomond area, their beginning's, their history and their lands.
Our activities page will include walking, fishing, boating, golfing, wildlife and much more.
I am sure you will appreciate the mammoth task involved in putting these pages together, and that it will be an ongoing project for some time to come.
If you find these pages of interest we would advise you return on a regular basis to be kept up to speed on our updates.
